Nature's door

Deep in the heart of the Eglinton Valley in the middle (well, north middle) of Fiordland National Park, New Zealand's largest, you are close to the Routeburn, Milford, Hollyford and Kepler tracks. The Eglinton River is known internationally for its trout fishing.

For the birders there are mohua and New Zealand falcon resident in the valley and rock wren and blue duck are found nearby. Kaka, morepork, kakariki and smaller birds of the New Zealand bush can usually be found.
